Dr. Zarrabi was recognized as a “Top Doctor” by Baltimore magazine in 2015 and 2016, and he has received the highest patient ratings in both acute care and primary care settings among his peers. After earning his medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, he completed his residency in internal medicine at MedStar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore. He did his post-doctoral fellowship in cardiovascular imaging at Texas Heart Institute in Houston. Dr. Zarrabi has published his research on novel diagnostic techniques to identify vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques in prestigious medical journals and presented his research findings in multiple international conferences.
Dr. Zarrabi served as the Chief Medical Resident at MedStar Harbor Hospital and also received the Director’s Award for the best performance among all house staff. Dr. Zarrabi also served as the co-chair for the Chief Residents Association of Baltimore (under American College of Physician). He was also the lead Physician for telemedicine services in the Baltimore area at Kaiser Permanente medical group.
